48-Inch Oak Stake for Tree Tubes and Tree Shelters

Provide dependable support for TreePro tree tubes with this solid oak tree-tube support stake. Oak offers greater strength and durability than many common softwood stakes and performs well in firm or rocky soils.

This approximately 1-inch by 1-inch by 48-inch stake is recommended for securing 48-inch TreePro tree protectors around newly planted chestnut, oak, pecan, persimmon, fruit and other young trees.

Installation

Drive the oak stake securely into the ground beside the seedling, then attach the tree protector to the stake with appropriate zip ties. Make sure the stake and tube are stable and positioned so they do not rub against or damage the young tree.

Using This Stake with a 60-Inch Tree Tube

This 48-inch stake can be used with a 60-inch TreePro tree tube, but approximately the upper two feet of the tube will remain unsupported after the stake is driven into the ground. For greater stability in windy or exposed locations, we recommend a 60-inch support stake.

Shipping Information

Due to their length and weight, support stakes ship separately from seedlings and most planting supplies. Stake shipping is calculated separately and is not included in the seedling flat-rate or free-shipping offer. Local pickup is available by appointment.
