White Oak Orchard Hardwood Lumber and Custom Milling
White Oak Orchard offers air-dried White Oak, Red Oak and Hickory lumber in Trenton, South Carolina. Our inventory includes random-width hardwood boards, thick slabs and Red Oak timbers for furniture, cabinetry and other woodworking projects.
Lumber is available rough-sawn or with additional milling services. Inventory, widths and lengths vary, so please contact us before visiting to confirm current availability.
All lumber viewing, purchasing and pickup are available by appointment only. We do not ship lumber.
Lumber and Milling Options

Rough-sawn lumber: Random-width White Oak and Red Oak boards sold by the board foot.

S4S lumber: Boards surfaced on all four sides and prepared for your woodworking project.

Thick slabs: Random-width 2.5-inch White Oak and Hickory slabs available as-is or flattened.

Red Oak timbers: Red Oak 4×4 timbers available in approximately 8.5-foot lengths.

Custom milling: S4S surfacing, slab flattening and cutting to size are available.

Planing capacity: We can plane boards up to 20 inches wide.

- Random-width boards in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 thicknesses.
- Most boards are approximately 8.5 feet long.
- Limited 12-foot lengths are available in 4/4.
- Random-width 2.5-inch White Oak slabs are also available.
Red Oak
- Random-width boards in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 thicknesses.
- Most boards are approximately 8.5 feet long.
- Some 4/4 Red Oak is available in 10-foot lengths.
- Red Oak 4×4 timbers are available in approximately 8.5-foot lengths.
Hickory
- Random-width 2.5-inch Hickory slabs.
- Slabs are approximately 8 feet long.

Policies
- All lumber is air-dried to approximately 8–12% moisture content.
- We do not ship lumber orders.
- Lumber viewing and pickup are available by appointment only.
- A 30% deposit is required before S4S surfacing, flattening, cutting to size or other custom milling begins.
- Items and milling services not included in the pricing tables are quoted based on the individual piece and requested work.
What Is a Board Foot?
A board foot is a measurement of lumber volume. One board foot equals a piece of wood measuring 1 inch thick, 12 inches wide and 12 inches long.
Board-foot formula:
Thickness in inches × width in inches × length in inches ÷ 144
Example:
A board measuring 1 inch thick, 8 inches wide and 8 feet long contains 5.33 board feet.
