The Family Behind the Farm
White Oak Orchard is a small, family-run farm nestled in Trenton, South Carolina. Two families came together — combining resources, shared values, and a deep passion for the land — to build something meaningful. We believe in working with nature, not against it, and everything we do reflects that commitment.
Our farm is a place of intentional growth: from the tree seedlings we nurture in our nursery to the eggs gathered each morning from our pasture-raised chickens. We're not a large operation, and that's by design. We care deeply about every tree, every animal, and every customer we serve.
The Nursery
In 2025, we launched our nursery with a clear mission: grow wildlife-friendly tree seedlings that support healthy ecosystems. We specialize in native White Oak, Shumard Oak, Sawtooth Oak, and Dunstan Chestnut seedlings — trees prized for fast mast production that provide abundant food and habitat for deer, turkey, and other wildlife.
Our seedlings are grown in air-pruning beds, a method that encourages strong, fibrous root systems rather than the circling roots common in traditional containers. The result is a hardier, more resilient tree seedling that establishes quickly after transplanting — giving your land the best possible start.
From the Storm: Hurricane Helene Salvage Lumber
In September 2024, Hurricane Helene swept through our region, bringing down trees that had stood for generations. Rather than let that wood go to waste, we made a choice: honor those trees by giving them new life.
We had the storm-felled logs milled and now maintain a large inventory of white and red oak hardwood. Every board carries a story — of the land, the storm, and the resilience of the people who call this place home.
We offer custom milling and furniture projects using our hardwood, creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to your vision.
The Farm
Beyond the nursery, our farm is home to pasture-raised chickens managed in chicken tractors — a rotational system that keeps our birds healthy and our pastures thriving. Fresh eggs are available for local pickup, and we love connecting with neighbors who value knowing exactly where their food comes from.
